Family found a Kitten inside a Tree but it wasn’t a house Cat

An extraordinary journey began when a couple discovered a tiny, vulnerable wild kitten hiding deep inside a hollow tree trunk.
Clearly separated from its mother, the fragile cub was rescued just in time and brought into a warm, caring household.
What started as a delicate rescue blossomed into a remarkable transformation.

With proper care, bottle feedings, and endless affection, the little cub grew into a stunning, full-grown serval cat.
Completely integrated into family life, he loves playing with the kids, running around with his dog sibling, and enjoying cozy moments with his human parents!
The serval (Leptailurus serval) is a wild cat native to sub-Saharan Africa, famous for its slender body, remarkably long legs, and large, expressive ears.

In the wild, they are solitary, highly skilled predators that rely on their incredible hearing to leap high into the air to catch birds and rodents.
Finding a serval cub alone in a tree hollow is a rare emergency, as young cubs depend completely on their mothers for shelter and milk.
While hand-raised servals can develop deep bonds with humans and show playful, domestic-like behaviors—such as playing with toys or dogs—they retain their wild instincts and require a specialized diet, ample space, and legal permits to be kept in a home environment.

The serval becomes part of their days, and all family members are happy to play with him and give him the proper care he needs beyond the excitement of their first encounter.
The big cat becomes part of the family. He is truly a companion for this family, and they are happy to treat him as another family member.
But despite his size, his playful personality makes him seem as curious as any other cat, and this family adores him just as they would a beloved house cat.
