Lion cub runs for it’s life pursued by one (of 6) different Croc attacks!

A harrowing wildlife scene shared on BCG Forums has drawn strong reactions, showing the brutal reality of survival in the wild. The incident took place in South Luangwa National Park, where a young lion cub became separated from its pride during a river crossing.

According to the account, the cub—estimated to be around five months old—was left stranded along the banks of the Luangwa River after the rest of the pride had already crossed.

With no safe path forward, the cub attempted to run along the edge of the water, unknowingly entering one of the most dangerous zones in the park.

As it moved, multiple crocodiles began to target the vulnerable cub. Witnesses reported that the young lion narrowly escaped several sudden lunges, each one coming from a different direction.

The tension built as the cub continued running, dodging what appeared to be a series of coordinated or opportunistic attacks. However, after enduring repeated close calls, the exhausted animal was eventually caught by a final crocodile.

Adding to the tragedy, the cub’s mother—reportedly injured—remained nearby with other members of the pride, unable to intervene.

The entire sequence unfolded in full view, leaving observers stunned by both the persistence of the cub and the inevitability of its fate.

The story quickly sparked emotional discussion among viewers. One commenter wrote, “This is heartbreaking, but it shows how unforgiving nature can be.” Another noted,

“That cub fought until the very end—truly incredible resilience.”

Others reflected on the role of crocodiles as apex predators in river ecosystems, emphasizing that such encounters, while difficult to watch, are part of the natural order.

Wildlife experts often point out that rivers like the Luangwa are among the most perilous environments for young animals, where crossings can quickly turn deadly.

This incident, while tragic, highlights the constant challenges faced by wildlife and the fine line between survival and loss in the natural world.
