Brave Man Risks his Life to Save a 600lb Drowning Bear in Florida

There’s no way you can put on your bucket list a meeting with a bear this big.

These massive species can grow up to 6 feet tall and weigh around 400-600 pounds.

The love for wildlife can help you get over this fear, as this Florida biologist showed when he saved a massive black bear from drowning by rescuing it.

This 400-pound bear, driven by its excellent smell sense, ended up wandering into a residential neighborhood in Alligator Point, Florida.

Black bears are common in North America, so it’s easy to understand why people were alarmed when they saw one.

The bear started digging into the garbage of the residents as soon as he got there. It wasn’t long before people became scared and called the authorities.

After they arrived at the scene, the wildlife officials tried to tranquilize the bear so that he could be taken back into the woods.

However, things did not go as planned.

As a result of being hit by the tranquilizer dart, the bear was frightened and started running to the ocean.

He actually fell into the water, which isn’t a wise move for a sedated animal.

Adam Warwick, a biologist with the Wildlife Commission, jumped into the ocean, hoping to save the bear.

Fortunately, he was not planning on standing and watching.

The bear was 400 pounds and was swimming 75 feet to shore. It must have been a really challenging challenge for Adam to complete.

After some incredible hard times, Adam managed to pull the bear from the water.

It is worth mentioning that the rescue could have turned catastrophic for both Adam and the bear.

However, Adam only got a few scratches while the bear was unharmed. This brave man managed to get

he black bear back to Osceola National Forest where it belonged. Thank you, Adam.
