Smallest Horse in the World lives Indoors and He has 3 Dog Friends in San Diego

When he was born, Peabody the horse was rejected by his mum because he was too tiny to reach her udder.

Now six weeks old, he’s still smaller than most dogs and weighs just 19 pounds.

To help him, owner Faith Smith moved him indoors and he now lives a life of luxury alongside her three pooches.

The 55-year-old miniature horse trainer from San Diego, California, said: ‘Peabody is the smallest horse in the world at his age.

‘Horses are never indoor animals, but Peabody is so small that he could never live outside unless he gets bigger, and we’re not sure if he will.

Since moving indoors, he is getting stronger

‘At present, he lives inside the house with the dogs.’

Faith and Peabody

Faith rescued him as his original owners told her the vet suggested having him euthanised after he didn’t wean from his mother.

Peabody’s jaw was out of line, he couldn’t walk, and they thought he was deaf and blind.
