Leslie Arnott has managed to capture a few frames of a truly romantic encounter between two barn owls in a small village in Staffordshire, UK.

The photographer said that the two magnificent birds spend about two or three minutes on a branch of a tree before taking off. And all this time they were very much in love with each other.

But even more interesting is that the two birds are not actually companions but sisters.

As far as the innocent kisses they’ve shared, Leslie is sure we won’t get an explanation anytime soon.

 

“[The two owls] love each other very much and work together, but they are not a breeding pair,” he said. They are actually sisters. ”
